The MBDA hereby calls for suitably qualified service providers to provide proposals for the provision of Courier and related services for a 12-month contract period for the MBDA and its managed sites:

 Services to be provided to the Agency:

A proposal must be submitted detailing the various courier services that are offered by the service provider for both local and international. The costs for such services will remain fixed for the 12-month contract period.

For purposes of evaluation bidders must provide quotations for collection & delivery within Port Elizabeth & Uitenhage as well as from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg & Cape Town and East London, assuming collection from CBD’s

, relating to the following services:

• Overnight door to door courier services
• Same Day door to door courier services
• Economy door to door courier services
• Early Bird / Overnight Express door to door courier services
• Saturday deliveries

Quotations must be based on parcels/packages containing the following dimensions and weight:

• Envelope package weighing 1kg (40X30X1)
• Envelope package weighing 2kg
• Envelope package weighing 5,0kg
• A box with the dimensions of 45 cm (length) x 30 cm (breadth) x 15cm (height) and weighing 10kg

The Mandela Bay Development Agency calls for a quotation in regards:

1. Tramways Building Cleaning of hall (1200 square meters)
2. Left Wing (300 square meters) and the cleaning of Toilets and Ablutions.
3. Cleaning services to MBDA Managed Sites when required

These venues are used for mainly events from Monday to Monday. Most of the times the client would setup the day before the main event.  It is highly likely that there would be back-to-back events on some weekends and some seasons.  Cleaning of the above would therefore be required in-between these consecutive events. 

The Client has got the access to the venue from 08h00 until 23h00 and therefore needs the hall cleaned before the starting time and after the finishing times

Service providers are required to submit firm quotes for a 12-month period.

The MBDA hereby calls interested Catering (Food preparation services) Operators to submit proposals with quotations for the leasing and of the Tramways Building based Kitchen Facility. The Facility was completed in 2015 and operated as a hospitality / chef training facility for a youth program based at the Tramways.

The fully fitted kitchen with accompanying storage space and cooking utensils with built in stove, extractors and washing facilities is supported by available shower and ablutions facilities. A small administrative/ reception area is also available for all administrative purposes.

1. Background

The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) is a municipal entity that was established in 2004 by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) to introduce urban renewal projects and initiatives into the inner cities and various emerging and developing nodes of the Nelson Mandela Bay (which comprises Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Despatch).

The MBDA hereby wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced service providers in the auditing field to undertake the scope of work outlined below.

The MBDA has embarked on a process to appoint a service provider to conduct a Performance Information Review (Audit of Predetermined Objectives).
